  • “Amazon and our hundreds of full-time employees appreciate the enthusiastic support, spirit of collaboration and attentiveness of the Joint Economic & Community Development Board of Wilson County and other government leaders, who have contributed to our success and continued growth in Wilson County. The local workforce here has been equally impressive and we have found great talent in abundance. We are proud to be a part of this community and to call Wilson County home.” – Mark Marzano, general manager, Amazon’s Lebanon Fulfillment Center

  • "Ours is a family owned company. We've been fortunate to grow, expand and become a leader in the industry we serve. When my father and others started Custom Packaging some 46 years ago, they chose Lebanon as the place they wanted to locate because local government was supportive, there was a built in geographic line from East to West and North to South via the interstate, a private independent college was here and a number of other lifestyle amenities were available. Isn't it interesting that now, decades later the community is still just as viable. Cumberland University, now 172-years-old, continues to provide excellent opportunities in private education; transportation has been made even more convenient with the South Hartmann interchange and with the commuter rail service; and we're only 25 minutes or so from a world class symphony, professional sports, internationally renowned art exhibits, and other features that make this a special place to live, work and raise a family," Jackie Cowden, CEO, Custom Packaging

  • "Often it is difficult to match job responsibilities and necessary skills with a pool of potential employees. However, that is not the case in Wilson County, where here we have the opportunity to draw on a vast reservoir of skilled employees who are anxious to come to work, to earn a decent wage or salary, and who demonstrate a work ethic second to none," Bill Vallett, CEO, Lochinvar, an internationally recognized manufacturer of high efficiency boilers and water heaters.

"Our company, as any other engaged in the manufacturing industry, has certain demands with respect to quality and productivity. The workforce we employ understands the importance of both issues and responds daily with an attitude of 'we're going to get the job done and we're going to do it right.' We believe the commitment of the workforce contributes significantly to the success of our company," Eddie Goodwin, President, Lochinvar.

  • "Since our startup some 20 years ago, our company, located in Mt. Juliet on Wilson County's west side, has become a world class supplier for a broad and diversified client base. We are confident that much of our success can be attributed to good access to materials, a good and productive relationship with local government, and a business climate here that encourages growth and profitability," Royce Slaven, president, Orchid International.

"As a recognized primary supplier for the automobile industry, our company must rely on a number of business related assets to ensure we remain competitive and that we are postured correctly within our own industry. High on this list are access to low cost energy, below par tax rates, a local commitment to public education, and perhaps most importantly a local government that hears us when we express our needs. We've found all of this in Wilson County," Steve Gruver, Co-Owner, Orchid International.
